Deep Deep Blue

Maybe it's just me, I always like winter since I was a kid, I suppose I was brought up in a country that is so freaking hot 24/7*365. Taking a holiday in Auckland during their winter is like a bonus to me. I love it there. Then i realize, winter in Auckland doesn't go well with photography, you hardly can see the blue sky (that's not the case when I was in Shanghai and New York). it was quite depressing cause most of the photos are spoilt with the dark grey clouds that filled the sky.

Fortunately enough, there are few days that the sky was really really blue, although for a short while. and this is one of it :)

What cha looking at?

Never expected to take this shot in the first place, I was walking around with Elaine, Alan, Jimmy, Elton, Jessie and my wifey on the beach, then this little man flew from afar and landed on the table in front of me. I didn't do much framing here, cause it's a matter of second before he decided to fly away. this photo is "so called" my safety shot.

I guess a very good lesson learned here is to never keep your camera in your camera bag if you still have batteries and memory cards, you'll never know if something interesting decides to happen in front of your own eyes.

Weekend in the Museum

This shot was taken in one of the museum in Auckland, it's not a fantastic shot, but it reminds me of my younger days where I start playing computer games and dad will be chasing me away because he wants to do his work.. those are sure good old times.. missed those time in dad's office :)

The Little Red Hut

Stuntman in action I would say, I did a bloody bold U turn in a middle of an expressway where cars are driving around 100 - 120 km an hour. Just because of this little red hut. I thought it would be a very good photo given to the contrast between the building and the grass with a cloudy sky...

Hope you enjoyed this one

It's just breathtaking !!!

Reflection

You might have noticed by now, that I love to shoot colours and reflections, this is one of the shot I took when I was in Auckland, not my best but one that i really like because my touchup is minimal for this shot.

Bee-Do-Bee-Do

I actually havent finish my post processing for the photos I took in NZ, but I just cant resist posting this after wifey and me went to watch Despicable Me2... Bee-Do-Bee-Do...

I think out of so many photos I took so far, this is the one of the few rare photo(s) that took it in a machine gun mode... if you are a fellow photographer, you should know what I mean. It just happened so fast! lucky I always have my baby turned on (naughty, naughty, I mean my camera switched on) when I'm with it.

Hope you enjoy this
