Deep Deep Blue

Maybe it's just me, I always like winter since I was a kid, I suppose I was brought up in a country that is so freaking hot 24/7*365. Taking a holiday in Auckland during their winter is like a bonus to me. I love it there. Then i realize, winter in Auckland doesn't go well with photography, you hardly can see the blue sky (that's not the case when I was in Shanghai and New York). it was quite depressing cause most of the photos are spoilt with the dark grey clouds that filled the sky.

Fortunately enough, there are few days that the sky was really really blue, although for a short while. and this is one of it :)

The Little Red Hut

Stuntman in action I would say, I did a bloody bold U turn in a middle of an expressway where cars are driving around 100 - 120 km an hour. Just because of this little red hut. I thought it would be a very good photo given to the contrast between the building and the grass with a cloudy sky...

Hope you enjoyed this one

It's just breathtaking !!!

Reflection

You might have noticed by now, that I love to shoot colours and reflections, this is one of the shot I took when I was in Auckland, not my best but one that i really like because my touchup is minimal for this shot.

Bee-Do-Bee-Do

I actually havent finish my post processing for the photos I took in NZ, but I just cant resist posting this after wifey and me went to watch Despicable Me2... Bee-Do-Bee-Do...

I think out of so many photos I took so far, this is the one of the few rare photo(s) that took it in a machine gun mode... if you are a fellow photographer, you should know what I mean. It just happened so fast! lucky I always have my baby turned on (naughty, naughty, I mean my camera switched on) when I'm with it.

Hope you enjoy this

Reflection

I'm lucky to get this shot, Elton, Jessie, Wifey and myself are heading back to Alan's place, we tried to go around the town in a Bus in Auckland, but one thing we didnt know is the walk back to Alan's place a quite a walk...

While everyone happily rushed back so that we can have dinner together, I spotted a puddle of water from far, Initially I approached it because I wanted to take some reflection of the buildings from the water, but surprisingly Birdie here flew on top od the puddle of water to check on hairdo, or featherdo.

With my equipment already on standby, I approached slowly and take the shot.

One good lesson learned if you are in a shooting mood, always have your camera on standby

True Blue, I Like !

I never understand what the heck is so beautiful about true blue (I was either sleeping or getting ready to party at these time) plus the Lighting is not Enough, Shutter speed is slow and the thing that I hate most USING A BLOODY TRIPOD!

But then, since Francis is here, I might as well try to learm abit more from him, so We happily sneaked up to the top floor of a parking lot and waited, and the worst thing in is, we cant smoke in the building. while I was patiently waiting, I was also impatiently waiting for us to finish so that I can go and smoke (bad habits) ! But as the evening gets darker the lights gets more visible and then finally I understand why Francis is happily waiting with his tripod and shutter release... for a priceless shot.

Call me COLOURFUL !

When I was about to leave the shooting ground, this young couple was just riding their bike in front of me. Francis and David were packing their gear while I was literately running towards the young couple with my DSLR trying to hide my presence like a ninja !
